I love every version of A Christmas Carol (Patrick Steward and George C, Scott), including the musical Scrooge with Albert Finney -- I don't consider myself to be a fan of musicals but this songs in this movie are so catchy, especially "Thank you very much." I own very few DVD's but I loved One Magic Christmas so much that I bought it - it's rarely shown on tv anymore. Paul LeMat as Mary Steenbergen's husband is such a sympathetic character and Santa Claus and The North Pole are wonderfully portrayed. I also remember seeing a movie when I was young called The House Without a Christmas Tree with Jason Robards. I ended up buying the DVD and I think it held up to my fond memories of this production.

I prefer the 1938 version with Reginald Owen. That's the one I grew up with. There's also an oldie that I recently found: It Happened on Fifth Avenue from 1947.

Great list! And thanks for recommending our Smithsonian panel on It's a Wonderful Life. I also love Desk Set and appeared on a podcast about it. https://www.audible.com/pd/Episode-46-Desk-Set-with-Nell-Minow-Podcast/B08W83YBR5 Alistair Sim's Christmas Carol is my favorite Christmas movie (love the Muppet, Disney, MGM, and Mr. Magoo versions, too).

My favorite as a kid is the rarely seen Mr. Magoo’s Christmas Carol musical. I still sing some of its ditties every year while ppl wonder where I learned them wearing this emoji 🙄or this one 😳
