I love every version of A Christmas Carol (Patrick Steward and George C, Scott), including the musical Scrooge with Albert Finney -- I don't consider myself to be a fan of musicals but this songs in this movie are so catchy, especially "Thank you very much." I own very few DVD's but I loved One Magic Christmas so much that I bought it - it's rarely shown on tv anymore. Paul LeMat as Mary Steenbergen's husband is such a sympathetic character and Santa Claus and The North Pole are wonderfully portrayed. I also remember seeing a movie when I was young called The House Without a Christmas Tree with Jason Robards. I ended up buying the DVD and I think it held up to my fond memories of this production.

I prefer the 1938 version with Reginald Owen. That's the one I grew up with. There's also an oldie that I recently found: It Happened on Fifth Avenue from 1947.
