You were in FL for 48 hrs.... not enough time to see all of its' many different habitats but ample time to complain about the heat and seemingly perfectness of the totally touristy area you visited. Wow. Fair? Not.
I wasn't complaining at all! I loved my time there. I've been to Florida many times and visited many different areas and I agree that it is an amazing and diverse state. I'm so sorry if you misunderstood my intent.
Librarians actually like a book returned with a little bit of sand - don't tell preservation librarians I said that but the book you read poolside isn't going into the archives anyway :)
Re-reading a favorite author or memoir is a sweet use of time. For Mother's Day we watched Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell in HIS GIRL FRIDAY, then I picked up her memoir---Life is a Banquet. Such a classy lady!
Vacation in Palm Springs, CA for some much needed sunshine after a tough winter. Fitzcarraldo - the impossible dream!
I would much prefer to walk in your area, Dandy Lions and all! - than in the pseudo-perfection of that Florida path!
Definitely!
I so look forward to these columns, as much as or even more than your advice! Thanks for making me laugh and feel :-) <3
Loved My Antonia
Sorry for misunderstanding.

I recognize that library code. Thanks for reading from your local library!
I felt so guilty taking my library's book poolside!

I LOVE Rosalind Russell and will try to find her memoir.
And I like you, too. Many likes = goodness.
Awww -- thank you so much!
