Taking a breather
Giving my readers a vacay
Hi all —
I hadn’t intended to take any time off from my weekly bugle — and yet, I did.
And so … first this … I’m granting all of my paid subscribers a two-week pause from paying for this newsletter.
I promise a weekly (or mainly weekly) newsletter, and as subscribers you should expect that.
If I pause, you pause.
And so …
Enjoy, as I did today, a gentle rain viewed from my porch, as non-threatening thunderclouds rumbled across the sky. If you put the sound up, you’ll hear this soothing music.
I followed up by having a little lie down with the book I’m reading.
Here’s the book. I love this novel because it contains so many elements I enjoy in a good book.
It’s set in a tiny village on the Italian coast, and also in Los Angeles. CHECK
It takes place in 1962 with occasional time hops to the present day. CHECK
It revolves around acting, writing, movie making and myth making. CHECK CHECK CHECK
… And makes me think of something my mother used to say:
Life is all a memory
I hope you can give yourself — or steal for yourself — a pause.
I’ll be back this weekend with my regularly scheduled programming
[The best part of a summer rain.]
Love,
Amy

I borrowed it from the library and never got to it. Guess I’ll have to borrow it again…but would like you borrow your porch, too😄
Serene and beautiful. Thank you.
