Rollicking Hollywood Memoirs! / One Good Thing
Celebrate Awards season by reading (or listening) to some good books
Yes, I’ve been doing some reading lately. Actually, a LOT of reading.
Also some listening. A LOT of listening.
I love a juicy Hollywood memoir. It helps when the book is not only juicy and interesting, but well-written.
[When I read a Hollywood memoir, I always start by skimming directly to that center portion of the book where the lucky reader is granted a few glossy pages of photographs.]
When actors write books (or hire talented ghostwriters to do the heavy lifting), a bonus to the experience is that you can be certain that the audio version will be good, because actors love to read their own books.
After all, the best way to hear about a life is to listen to the person who owns the life tell you about it. (And here is where I can recommend the audio version of my two memoirs, narrated with great joy by yours truly!)

My recommendations for recent (and sort of recent) Hollywood memoirs that make for great reading (and listening) feature:
