I found my forever-partner later in life, so maybe that’s why the anniversary of our wedding is such a big deal for me. It’s an opportunity to stop, take stock, and celebrate.
My husband and I don’t exchange big gifts any more (we’ve done plenty of that), but a couple of years ago I was inspired to create a little film, which serves as a nice marker of a great connection, a great wedding day, and the wonderful reality we get to share every day.
This weekend Bruno and I celebrated 16 years together by taking our annual trip to Cooperstown, NY, where we attended 3 (THREE!) operas over the course of two days.
Considering the glory of the music and talent we took in, my own musical efforts are pretty lame by comparison, and yet — what can I say? — I can only give what I have. My efforts took me to Chicago and back, filming and singing in many different locations.
So — if you’re interested, here is my little 3-minute video. If you commit to watching it, watch to the very end, because while I was filming, I lucked into the biggest big finish I could ever imagine.
I hope you have a beautiful week, full of your own reasons to sing and celebrate!
Love,
Amy
